Further Afield: Cape Town and Kruger National Park

As you might have read on Instagram, I went on vacation to South Africa a couple weeks ago. Yeah, yeah, it’s not in New York; but I thought I’d share some pictures from the trip anyhow.

Cape Town from above
Cape Town from above, on Table Mountain. In the upper left corner is Robben Island, infamous for the prison that held Nelson Mandela for 18 years.
Cape Point lighthouse
New York was still on my mind! From this old lighthouse, home was 12,541 kilometers (almost 8,000 miles) away.

  1. You could see all those things (except for Cape Town from above) in New York, right? Just not in quite that setting.
